The Hawaii Department of Transportation is closing the H-1 Freeway westbound starting from the Vineyard Boulevard off-ramp to the area near the Pali Highway off-ramp from 8:30 p.m. Monday to 3 a.m. Tuesday.

All motorists heading westbound will be detoured to the Vineyard Boulevard exit and may re-enter the H-1 Freeway by turning right on Vineyard Boulevard at Punchbowl Street.

Emergency vehicles and TheBus will also be detoured.

The work being done is to add permanent striping on the freeway where pavement was disturbed because a drainage pipe had been replaced.
