RALEIGH, N.C. – In an executive order, Gov. Roy Cooper closed all restaurants and bars except for takeout and delivery orders, the office of the governor tweeted Tuesday.

The order, which takes effect at 5 p.m. Tuesday, closes all restaurants and bars for dine-in customers. The tweet says the order will include an expansion of unemployment benefits for workers impacted by COVID-19.
