It's part of a program called Friendship House Fayetteville. Students at nearby universities become roommates with those with disabilities.

The goal is for people who, for example, have autism or down syndrome to become independent and get jobs. Program organizers are accepting applications from students in hopes more people with disabilities can excel in life.

"Like personally, it's a great project to be a part of," Campbell University student, Victor Long said. "I feel like I'm helping people and making a difference in people's lives."
