DURHAM, N.C. – The North Carolina Department of Labor confirms it’s investigating Wednesday's gas explosion in Durham that sent 25 people to the hospital and left one person dead.

One attorney, not involved with the case but who has litigated similar ones, says someone is responsible.

“In virtually all these cases involving explosions someone failed to do something they should've done or did something they should not have done,” attorney Forest Horne said.
