SELMA, N.C. -- The Johnston County Sheriff's Office is investigating an apparent murder-suicide in Selma.

• A man and a woman were found dead in Selma Monday afternoon.
• The deaths are being investigated as a murder-suicide.
• The identities have not been released. 

Authorities were called to a home in the 700 block of Davis Mill Road between Highway 70 East and Pine Level around 7:15 p.m. Monday.

There they found the bodies of a man and a woman.

The names of the deceased are being withheld at this time pending the notification of next of kin.
