CARY, N.C. -- Another plan to revitalize Cary Towne Center could be in the works.

This week, J.C. Penney announced it'll leave the mall that's been struggling for years.
Now we're learning that Turnbridge Equities out of New York and Denali Properties from Dallas partnered to buy the space for an undisclosed amount.
The partners are already revamping retail spaces throughout the country. Customers say while the mall may be quiet now, it once was so popular that parking was an issue during the holidays.
"It was better than 20 years ago now it's just terrible all the stores are gone and stuff. I just like to shop at Belk and buy stuff when it's on clearance,” said Cary resident Jennifer Cordle.
The purchase includes the more than 800,000 sq. foot mall and about 80 acres. As for J.C. Penney, it'll continue to clear out its inventory before doors close for good in May.
