Officials want to replace the 15 red light cameras they currently have and add 10 new ones.
The current system is more than a decade old and city leaders say the new technology could catch more red light runners at a time.
The location of the new red light cameras will be based on accident rates at intersections.

After deducting the vendor's fee and administrative costs, the city says more than $860,000 went to the school system last year.
