  • Search warrants reveal that Chivalry sent texts and pictures of his dead father to a co-worker at UPS. The supervisor then called 911.
  • That then led to a 5-hour standoff with Chivalry and deputies

Chivalry Moore made his first court appearance Monday morning after getting out of the hospital.

Authorities had to wheel 33-year-old Moore inside the courtroom on Monday.

He's now charged with murder in the shooting death of his father, 60-year-old Willie Moore.

Search warrants reveal that Chivalry sent texts and pictures of his dead father to a co-worker at UPS. The supervisor then called 911.

A neighbor then told deputies that she noticed something was off inside Willie's home. She said she had not seen the father in almost a month but saw Chivalry driving his dad's car.

That then led to a 5-hour standoff with Chivalry and deputies. A deputy then ended up shooting Chivalry, sending him to the hospital.

The deputy remains on leave as the SBI investigates. Meanwhile, Chivalry remains in jail with no bond. He's expected back in court next week.
