The units are scheduled to debut next spring. The original Prince Charles Hotel is now rebranded as The Gathering at the Prince Charles. The units are being called The Residences.
The 93-year-old building will soon be home to 59 apartments, two local restaurants and a coffee shop on the bottom floor. Rooms range from about $770 to almost $2,000.
Units vary between 450 square feet and 930 square feet, and some rooms will have views of the baseball stadium.
“I think it’ll bring a different demographic of people living there," Fayetteville resident Jerry McDonald said. "Not obviously huge families because I think it’s going to be a little bit lower of an age demographic like between 25 and 40.”
The complex isn't expected to open until March. Interested residents are able to begin the process of pre-leasing for an apartment.
