RALEIGH, N.C. -- Paying to park is about to get a lot easier in the City of Oaks.
- A parking meter app is coming to downtown Raleigh.
- It is called Passport.
- It will allow users to pay and monitor time for parking spaces.
This fall, the City of Raleigh will roll out the "Passport Parking" app in downtown to allow people to pay for parking meters on their phones.
Transportation officials say it won't just make it easier to pay for your spot, it will also allow users to monitor and add time to their meters.
Downloading the app is free and is already in use around the campus of NC State.
