RALEIGH, N.C. --- Raleigh police are searching for 61-year-old Martin Bankhead.

• Bankhead was last seen Sunday evening in Brier Creek.
• His car was found in South Carolina Monday morning.
• Call Raleigh police if you have any information.

He lives in Raleigh but the search is now focused on South Carolina where his wrecked car was found Monday morning.

Bankhead was last seen by his wife on Sunday around 9:45 p.m. at their home in the 9100 block of Palm Bay Circle in Brier Creek.

Somehow his car ended up 200 miles away in Catawba, South Carolina.

Officers found his car crashed there on Monday but Bankhead was nowhere to be found.

Bankhead was last wearing a purple polo shirt, light khakis and brown shoes. He has some gray facial hair and wears glasses.
