Justin Atwater, 18, is charged with assault with a deadly weapon and attempted murder.

He remains behind bars on a $2.5 million bond.

Atwater is already out on probation for having a concealed weapon which is why the judge set his bond so high.

Police say he opened fire at the Walmart on New Hope Commons Drive last Wednesday.

Two people were hit but are expected to be OK.

It’s unclear exactly what led up to the shooting, but witnesses told Spectrum News that an argument happened between two men inside of the store.

Atwater is set to go back to court later this month.
