RALEIGH -- A Wake County non-profit is offering a unique shopping experience starting Friday.

The Green Chair project provides furniture to families transitioning out of crisis situations.

They take donated furniture and home goods and re-purpose them.

Fifty-five different agencies are in partnership with the project.

For a small fee, their clients are able to outfit their entire home.

"This is a way that  the whole family can experience the comforts of home and return to that new normalcy and be able to experience not only the comfort, but the health benefits that a new home provides," said Jackie Craig, The Green Chair Project's executive director.

This weekend, members of the public can attend their tag sale which supports their work throughout the year.

The sale is from 10 to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday located at 1853 Capital Blvd.
