RALEIGH – Food lovers rejoice. There’s a new food delivery option in the Triangle.
Uber's restaurant delivery service called “UberEATS” started service in the area Wednesday. It utilizes Uber drivers to bring food to your door.
So far, more than 100 restaurants in Raleigh, Durham and Chapel Hill have already signed up for the service.
Some of the restaurants participating include Monuts in Durham, Guasaca in Raleigh and Durham and Kipos Greek Taverna in Chapel Hill.
Here’s how it works:
- First, you must download the separate UberEATS app.
- Like the Uber app, you can track the progress of your order and delivery.
- There's a $4.99 delivery fee to use the UberEATS service.
- You can get your delivery fee waived on your first two orders by using the promo code "EATSTRIANGLE”.
- There’s an option to tip drivers in-app or use cash.
UberEATS currently operates in 120 cities around the world including Charlotte, which was added over the summer.
