WAKE FOREST, N.C. --- Emergency crews responded to the scene of an accident involving a school bus Wednesday morning in Wake Forest.
It happened near Capital Boulevard and Ponderosa Service Road around 7 a.m. when the bus and an SUV collided.
There were 34 people on the bus.
Twelve students and two adults were taken to the hospital. All of their injuries are believed to be minor.
The bus was on its way to North Pines Elementary School at the time of the crash.
The State Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of the accident.
