Security Experts Say Voting Machines Could Be Vulnerable to Hacks

RALEIGH -- Some forensic technology experts say digital voting machines may not be immune to attacks. 

Recent hacks with the DNC's computer system have called into question the vulnerability of other election systems. 

Voting officials say checks and balances are in place to assure votes are protected. 

However, some experts say all technology is susceptible.

"Absolutely," said Triangle Forensics CEO Duke Rogers. " In a sense, everything is vulnerable. If it's any kind of computer, we're seeing that anything can be hacked." 

The State Board of Elections says around 20 counties in North Carolina still use the one-touch electronic voting systems.
