FORT BRAGG -- Fort Bragg is reintroducing an automated system for security checks at its gates on Monday.
It's being done in hopes of speeding up access to the base.
The Fayetteville Observer reports it was originally introduced in 2013, but officials went back to manned ID checks shortly after.
All visitors without Department of Defense ID cards must register with the AIE System at Fort Bragg's All-American Visitor Control Center.
Current visitors passes will be honored until their expiration date.
