APEX - Pizza dough twirls while Yury Rojas' mind whirls, wondering when activity at his Apex business will pick back up.
Rojas restaurant has taken a detour. Anna's Pizzeria sits a block from a railroad crossing construction. Chatham Street is closed at Elm Steet, and Rojas works to stay open. The closures are sitting well with local officials.
Without a heads up, Apex Mayor Lance Olive says CSX really threw town planning under the tracks.
CSX responded to our request for information on crossings, sharing what's closed, what's open, when some close, andwhen others will open.
Rojas says customers can expect a little longer for pizzas to get to their door. If you can get to him, he's open for business. Otherwise, Rojas says he'll be happy when roads are back open, and business is back on track.
