NEW YORK—Time magazine unveiled its pick for ‘Person of The Year’.
The magazine chose German Chancellor Angela Merkel for the honor.
Merkel was praised for helping to preserve and promote Europe, despite economic turmoil and a growing refugee crisis. Time Magazine also honored her for being a principled manager and resolute diplomat.
Merkel is the first woman to be named Person of the Year since 1986.
