WAKE FOREST--Heritage High School in Wake Forest is on lockdown because of a threat made on social media.
Wake County Public Schools put the alert out just before 10 a.m. Students were moved to safe areas and all interior doors were locked.
A code red lockdown is used when there’s a direct threat to the school or in the immediate area of the school.
