CHAPEL HILL, N.C.-- It's a show you honestly have to see to believe.  Discovery's Naked and Afraid features people who leave the comforts of their own home and embark on a journey of survival in the wilderness stripped of everything but the bar, including their clothes.  We sat down with a Chapel Hill mom who will be featured on an upcoming episode, to hear what all it took to get Naked and Afraid.

Karen Coffee is a 52 year old mother and wife who is an avid runner and cold hold a "plank" yoga position for more than an hour!  She is an unbelievable athlete that loves the outdoors, but the elements she was placed in on the show Naked and Afraid were like nothing she's ever seen or felt.

Coffee brought along her mother for the interview who turned 81 years young that day and was thrilled to see her daughter featured on the Discovery Channel show.  Also on set, she featured a sack and machete that both helped her survive the show.  But it wasn't without trouble.  By the end of her trek, Coffee got incredibly sick and ended up in the hospital.  But for the full story of her survival, you'll have to tune into the show on Sunday night.

To celebrate, Coffee is hosting a watch party at The Carolina Ale House in Chapel Hill, located at 419 West Franklin Street.  A meet and greet will get underway at 8pm, and an auction of show items will also take place.  People are also encourage to bring canned goods that will be donated to an area food bank.
