BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Brandon Frontuto, who authorities call a "serial criminal," was sentenced Monday to spend more than 18 years in prison on several charges, including attempted murder.

Frontuto, 21, admitted to shooting someone in 2015 while robbing a Buffalo auto repair shop, according to the Erie County District Attorney's Office. Frontuto was arrested in February after officers found a shotgun in his car during a traffic stop.

Prosecutors say he also burglarized the Pierce-Arrow building and a Cheektowaga home in 2015.
