You have questions, and we try to find the answers for you. Today's question has to do with the Syracuse newspaper. Our Iris St. Meran in the newsroom to help you figure out, 'What's Up With That?'
SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- We received a few phone calls about a new insert in the Syracuse Post-Standard. If you haven't received one yet, it is called a premium edition. The first in this series is called, 'The Post-Standard Investment and Retirement Guide.' It's not free.
It will come out four times a year and cost $2.99 each, and will cover different topics. It will come automatically unless you opt out.
Tom Brown, the director of circulation operations, said the Post-Standard sent out notifications in the paper, as well as mailings. We found it on page two of Sunday’s paper under the home delivery heading at the bottom.
Brown said the Post-Standard felt the premium edition was great content for the reader, and it’s something many newspapers utilize and it is also added revenue. If you find the insert useful, you don’t have to do anything. If it’s not for you, again, you have to opt out or you will be automatically charged.
