Another hot and humid day expected on Father’s Day. The morning starts off mainly within the upper 70s and the lower 80s, increasing to the lower and middle 90s with coastal areas just under 90°.
Feel-like temperatures are much like yesterday, ranging in the upper 90s and lower triple digits.
Onshore flow and seabreeze are expected by mid afternoon with the collision zone more inland around Lake County and western Orange County. This is where we could see better chances for scattered showers and thunderstorms mainly towards the early evening. The mid and late afternoon will be more of isolated showers and storms.
A dryer pattern — thanks to high pressure from the Atlantic and Saharan dust filtering back into the Sunshine State — will take effect next week, but afternoon high temperatures will remain hot and mainly featured between 92° and 96°.
Better chances for showers and storms to rebuild come in towards the end of the week around Friday, which just so happens to be the first day of summer.
