Thankfully, the threat for severe weather is long gone as yesterday's cold front is well east of us. Yet, cooler air has settled in behind the front. We started today with a wintry feel in the widespread 30s and wind chill values near the freezing mark. As cloudy skies clear out and sunshine takes over, temps will reach around 60° this afternoon (but this will be cooler than average by 5-10°). So, dress in warmer clothing today. Tonight, a southerly wind takes over and temps will stay in the mid 40s. Temperatures race into the Mid-upper 70s for Tuesday afternoon...giving a return to a Spring-Like feel. Wednesday, it'll get a degree or two warmer with highs hovering around 80° and a continuation of dry weather.
By Thursday, our next system moves in bringing scattered showers & storms (some of which could be strong). It'll remain unseasonably warm with upper 70s, but it cools down into the 60s for highs by Friday in the wake Thursday's system. Yet, an "Upper Closed Low" may meander over our region Friday and Saturday. If this materializes, expect cloudy conditions with periodic pesky showers both days.
Easter Sunday (as of now) looks dry as the previously mentioned upper low finally moves out. Skies should be partly sunny with highs near 70°. Stay tuned as we continue to fine-tune that forecast.
