NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. -- Two men will spend more than a decade behind bars for their roles in the brutal death of a Niagara Falls man.

Carl Hosmer was sentenced to 18 years in prison in Niagara County Court Wednesday. James Howard was sentenced to 25 years in prison Tuesday.

Both men pleaded guilty to first-degree manslaughter back in June.

Police say they were involved in the stabbing death of 44-year-old Daniel Sparks.

He was found stabbed 27 times in a wooded area on Mackenna Avenue in Niagara Falls back in December.
