INGLEWOOD, Calif. — Several people were injured when a vehicle plowed into a crowd of pedestrians protesting President Donald Trump's immigration policies near SoFi Stadium, according to multiple media reports Sunday.
The accident took place around 10:20 p.m. Saturday in the 4000 block of Century Boulevard. Witnesses told a local news station that someone driving a Dodge Charger was doing a "burnout" to impress onlookers when he lost control of the vehicle and it went into the crowd.
At least six victims were hospitalized, according to the station, which added unconfirmed reports that they included a 14-year-old and 16-year- old.
Citing Inglewood police, a local news station reported that all the victims had stable vital signs.
The driver was slightly injured and stayed at the scene to cooperate with police, according to KTLA5.
The crash occurred as fans were leaving the CONCACAF Gold Cup match between Mexico and the Dominican Republic at SoFi Stadium.
