Leaders in Troy are trying to do more to address the lead pipelines running throughout the city.
They've been working at locating, removing and replacing them so residents have access to clean drinking water.
Troy City Council members say 42% of all service lines have been verified. They've found 3,100 non-lead lines and 1,300 that still contain it.
City officials said this leaves about 7,000 service lines unaccounted for.
The City Council is asking everyone to test their lines, and are directing any questions to the Department of Public Utilities.
