There's always plenty to do in Ohio over the weekend, but Spectrum News 1 gathered some of the highlights around each major metropolitan area across the state.

Bath Art Festival

Art in the Village

  • When and where: 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at Legacy Village, located at 25001 Cedar Road in Cleveland
  • Cost: Free
  • Info: There's plenty of art to be seen in northeast Ohio this weekend, including at this event which features a variety of vendors selling goods ranging from artworks, clothing, food and more

Columbus

Canal Winchester Farmers' Market

  • When and where: 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday at Stradley Park, located at 30 S. High Street
  • Info: As warmer weather arrives, so too do the farmers markets. This is your chance to buy fresh, local food and other goods

Early Encounters with Penguins

  • When and where: 5 to 6 p.m. Saturday at Clintonville Books, located at 3286 N High St. in Columbus
  • Info: Whether you're an animal lover or a history lover, you may find something of interest at this event. The Ohio State University Senior Lecturer Ellen Arnold will be discussing the first encounters between Europeans and penguins hundreds of years ago

Cincinnati

Cincinnati Fringe Festival

  • When and where: May 30-June 14 throughout Over-the-Rhine neighborhood of Cincinnati

  • Info: This event celebrates a variety of mediums including art, music, theater and more

Ohio 529 CollegeAdvantage Redlegs Run

  • When and where: 8, 9 and 10 a.m. Saturday at Great American Ball Park

  • Info: This is your chance to run/walk a 10k, 5k 1-mile or kids fun run at the 24th annual Ohio 529 CollegeAdvantage Redlegs Run

Dayton

HeliStorm 2025

  • When and where: Friday through Sunday (mostly Friday and Saturday) at the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force, located at 1100 Spaatz Street in Dayton
  • Cost: Free 
  • Info: Check out RC helicopter flying demonstrations, take a look at museum airplanes and participate in various STEM activities at this event

St Anne’s Hill Trash ‘N Treasure Neighborhood Garage Sale 2025

  • When and where: 8 a.m. Saturday "until we run out of Trash ‘N Treasures" at the St. Anne’s Hill neighborhood
  • Info: It's hard to beat the deals and one-of-a-kind items you can find at garage sales, and now that the weather warms check out what these sales have to offer 

Toledo

2025 Glass City Expo
