Brandon Richards is a meteorologist forecasting for Spectrum News 1 Texas.

He is very excited to cover the ever-changing weather for Texas residents. Brandon was born and raised in Alabama and holds a degree in Meteorology from Mississippi State University.

Before Spectrum News, he spent 2022 to 2025 in New Mexico forecasting everything from monsoons to dust storms.   

In his free time, he is looking forward to exploring the beautiful outdoors in Texas from the Hill Country to the Coast. He also enjoys the amazing food the state has to offer!
