TREASURE ISLAND, Fla. — City leaders in Treasure Island, one of the hardest hit areas by hurricanes Helene and Milton last year, will host a Hurricane Expo later this month.
Spectrum Bay News 9 Chief Meteorologist Mike Clay will have a special presentation at the event, providing insights about what to expect during hurricane season.
City and county staff will discuss storm response plans, evacuation procedures, and how residents and businesses can prepare before a storm approaches. Attendees will receive critical safety and survival tips, flood insurance education and more.
The expo will take place May 28, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at City Hall, located at 10451 Gulf Blvd.
Residents are encouraged to visit mytreasureisland.com/stormready to sign up for Alert Pinellas, check their evacuation zone and gather storm preparation resources. You can also use our Spectrum Bay News 9 Storm Season page for supply kit suggestions, interactive maps and more.
