The severe winter storm moving across much of the country has forced a schedule change for the Tampa Bay Lightning.
The Bolts were scheduled to play Friday night at the Buffalo Sabres.
The league announced Wednesday the game will now be played on March 4.
Tampa Bay takes on the Detroit Red Wings on Wednesday night at 7:30 p.m. in Detroit.
A strong cold front will move across the eastern U.S. this week, bringing heavy snow and freezing temperatures that could affect holiday traveling. Areas in the Midwest will get hit the hardest with snow, but areas in the Northeast will also see some snow pile up.
Almost everyone across the eastern half of the U.S. will drop 20 to 30 degrees below their average temperature on Friday and Saturday.
Spectrum Bay News 9 Chief Meteorologist Mike Clay participated Wednesday in a Q&A about the storm. Read the chat here.
