RALEIGH, N.C. -- Cleaning has taken on a whole new meaning for many people during this season as businesses now take extra precautions to keep surface areas safe.

One Raleigh couple recently took on a new venture to make the cleaning process a little bit easier.

Just weeks ago, after seeing friends struggle to keep their business sanitation up to code due to COVID-19, Rhonda and Jamal Jones decided to partner with  Oxi-Thyme, a self-service fogging system that sanitizes high surface areas.

This is the first time it’s been available in our state.

“We have a very good friend who owns a gym. Just watching his struggles through the pandemic and not being able to open,” Rhonda said. “ so it was worth it to watch someone close to us struggling to think we might be able to help just a little bit.”

It’s a family business with several of Rhonda’s relatives also serving as managers in other parts of the country.

Rhonda and Jamal are in charge of the Southeast region and hope to help as many people as possible during this pandemic.

“We’re just hoping to help people get opened up quicker, and once businesses are open, to just keep people safe, keep our teachers safe, our kids safe, and we feel like we are able to help in that area,”  Rhonda said.
