NATIONAL – There’s been some controversy lately over whether states should consider gun stores essential and allow them to operate.

But now states may not have to choose.

The federal government signed off on a new rule this week allowing dealers to provide drive-up or walk-up services.

The rule states that guns must be bought on the dealer’s property.

Last month, the FBI ran more than 3 million background checks as people rushed to buy weapons amidst uncertainty caused by coronavirus.
