Miller served in the army for 21 years. While fighting in Desert Storm back in 2002, he got hurt, which left him disabled.

After years of struggling to get back on his feet, he found a boxer and trained him to be his service dog. Now, Roman never leaves his side.

“Roman Bryan Bella. Bryan was a friend of mine that got killed in Desert Storm, so I gave him his middle name”, Miller reflects.

Roman inspired Miller to create his own business training service dogs for veterans and civilians. He says the process is not just for the dogs but for owners too.

“You have to remember this is a bond of you and your partner,” he says.

First, the dogs learn basic commands like “sit,” “stay,” “lie down.” Then they learn how to pick up on their human’s cues.

Miller says, turning his passion into a business has been a goal of his.

He says, “when I received Roman, and we went through his training, I felt like I need to give back to other veterans and civilians that are dealing with issues like myself.”
