MOUNT AIRY, N.C. – Some Mount Airy High School students are adding the title of “barista” to their resumes.
The high school opened its own student-run coffee shop Monday.
The shop, called the “Blue Bear Café”, is part of the school’s library.
It allows students to learn financial and soft skills in a hands-on way.
The project was funded by Goodwill Industries and the Piedmont Triad Regional Council Workforce Development Board.
The café will be open to students during their break times.
