After the incident, Lexington City Schools superintendent decided to pull South Davidson Middle School from the city's athletic calendar.
On Friday, superintendents and administrators from both Lexington City Schools and Davidson County Schools met and issued statements, ultimately agreeing on Lexington’s decision to cancel games.
Lexington's superintendent says they are looking for teams to replace the school on their schedules.
School officials haven't said whether any students will face disciplinary action for the incident.
