LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Summer is a great time to hit the links and work on your swing, and the Kentucky State Parks system puts more than a dozen courses within a short drive.

Kentucky State Parks has 13 golf courses spread throughout the state, each with varying terrain. There are also options for golfers looking for a “golf getaway” experience. Six of the courses are located at resort parks with lodging, and several others are near resort parks.

Dale Hollow Lake State Resort Park, located in Southern Kentucky near the Tennessee state line, has been nationally recognized for best design and friendliest staff. The course is currently offering a $99 per person deal, Sunday through Wednesday. The cost includes a game of golf and one night of lodging.

Kentucky State Parks director of golf Kevin Main, a PGA professional, recently joined Spectrum News 1’s Kayla Moody to talk about the state’s many golfing opportunities. You can see the full interview above.
