GREENSBORO, N.C. -- A news conference is set for Thursday afternoon to announce a new downtown office tower in Greensboro.

Front Street Capital said on Thursday that "Project Slugger" will be located at the corner of the Greensboro Grasshoppers ballpark.

The nine-story, 110,000 square-foot building will feature the regional headquarters of the ballpark's namesake, First National Bank.

A new entrance to the ballpark will be included.

Construction will start immediately. It's expected to wrap up next year.
