GREENSBORO, N.C. – Officials are investigating a mobile classroom fire at Bessemer Elementary School.

Fifth grade students were inside at the time the fire broke out Tuesday. They were all able to get out safely.

Officials say once they noticed the smoke, they immediately called for help.

"Looking at the top of the trailer, there was a lot of smoke that varied in color it went from being a yellowish color gray and darker and we called the fire department. So, we wanted them to get here as quickly as possible," Principal Chelsea Smith said.

No word on the cause of the fire at this time.
