You can take it to a county drop-off. You can even put it through a wood chipper and use the mulch yourself. Or there's another way—give it to goats.

John Leap runs Papa John's Farm in Forsyth County. He says families drop off their Christmas trees at his farm, and his goats go crazy for it every year.

“They pretty much attack it, kind of like a school of piranha. They're all over it. It is best to stand out of their way at that moment,” Leap laughed. "Put it right out here by my sign and I'll take it around and give it to the goats. Or if you'd like, you can just give me a call."
