NORTH CAROLINA -- A warm front will slowly lift northward over the region Saturday night.

That means areas of rain will continue at times, along with warming overnight temps.  In fact, morning "lows" on Sunday will likely be in the 60s, as afternoon highs are expected to surge into the lower 70s.  Now, although the vast of this system will only produce rain for our region through early Sunday afternoon, a few storms cannot be ruled out.  In fact, a stronger storm or two may occur here even though most will pass well to the south and east.

A cold front is scheduled to slide through Sunday night.  That will lead to clearing skies and slightly cooler weather for Monday.  After that, another cold front will slam south into the Carolinas and this one will bring a big drop in temps.  Highs on Tuesday will fall to near 50, with 40s settling in for the 2nd half of the week.
