WINSTON-SALEM, NC-- The Sears at Hanes Mall is set to close in February 2019.

The Sears Holdings Corporation, the parent company of both Sears and Kmart that filed for bankruptcy earlier this year, announced the Winston-Salem closure and 39 other Sears and Kmart store closings.
These 40 closings are in addition to almost 150 store closures that were previously announced this year-- including Sears stores in Goldsboro, Pineville, and Fayetteville, and Kmart stores in Statesville, Asheville, and Raleigh.
