GREENSBORO, N.C. -- After a cloudy and wet wrap to the work week, strong high pressure will continue to strengthen over the region tonight leading to more sunshine on Sunday.

Now, clear skies and light winds are expected tonight, so that combination will lead to colder nighttime lows.  Look for lows to fall into the middle 30s.

Sunshine and seasonable weather is on tap for Sunday with afternoon highs reaching the middle 60s.  After that, clouds will begin to increase overnight and Monday.  Showers will eventually arrive on Monday, and will continue into Tuesday.  That said, milder temperatures will accompany the rain as highs reach the lower 70s on Tuesday.

Finally, clearing and cooler weather should return by mid-week.
