NORTH CAROLINA – Michael is causing major outages thoughout North Carolina Thursday.
As of 10 a.m. on Friday morning, there are 481,873 power outages and 31 school system closings, according to the North Carolina Department of Public Safety.
Power company, Duke Energy, warned customers that 300,000 to 500,000 power outages could be caused across the Carolinas due to Hurricane Michael. They say outages could last for several days and the company has 6,000 workers ready to move into the area once the storm passes.
