YADKIN COUNTY, N.C. -- A domestic incident in Yadkin County Wednesday night led to a deadly officer-involved shooting.

The sheriff's office said two deputies responded to the call around 5 p.m. at a home on Laura Lynn Drive and the suspect confronted them outside with a gun.

The deputies said they exchanged gunfire with the suspect, killing that person.

Both deputies are on administrative leave while the S.B.I. investigates, which is standard procedure.
