The fire gutted the sanctuary of Faith Baptist Church at around 5:30 p.m. Pastor Randy Edwards says he plans on having Wednesday night services and Sunday services in the church's family life center. Members are planning to rebuild, but are not sure if insurance will cover a replacement.

"I've had calls. last night and this morning from Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, all over the place. Pastors and places I've been, and other folks that know us, all offering prayers, help," the pastor said.

He also says the fire is thought to have started at an electrical breaker box. It took more than an hour for firefighters from 13 agencies to get it under control.

The fire remains under investigation.
