A group in Central New York is helping children get in touch with nature.

"Creatures in the Wild" was started by four mothers in 2016. It has camps, nature groups, and a forest preschool.

Every Wednesday during the summer, the kids are able to explore Woodchuck Hill Field and Forest Preserve.

"People seek us out specifically to help their children disconnect from screen time and just play and have the free childhood experience that our generation remembers from growing up but that today's kids are missing in certain aspects," said Creatures in the Wild Director of Operations Emily Pollokoff.

"Creatures in the Wild" also recently opened a children's art studio in Mattydale.
