City leaders closed a building on South Elm Street and February One Place as a safety precaution when they got the alarming call.
Greensboro's chief building inspector condemned the Dixie Building Tuesday after the owner of Cincy's, a restaurant in the building, noticed that some pillars in the basement were sinking.
Just a day after, the owners of Cincy's are working to open back up.
The building was ultimately uncondemned after the city realized the basement was flooding, not sinking.
Bonnie Kays, the owner of the restaurant, plans to open backup Thursday at 11 a.m.
