HIGH POINT, N.C. -- High Point police say someone murdered a man whose body was pulled out of a lake Tuesday.
- Body of Sircorious Griffin was found Tuesday morning
- He was found in a lake near Penny Road
- Investigators are searching for his vehicle
Investigators say the body of 31-year-old Sircorious Griffin was spotted by a fisherman kayaking Tuesday morning near Penny Road.
A few hours before Griffin's body was discovered, his family reported him as a missing person.
"From what his family has told us and what we are really taking into account is that they talked about his habit, his routine. And the fact that he ventured away from that is what caused them concern because he pretty much always kept in constant contact,” Lt. Curtis Cheeks with the High Point Police Department said.
Investigators are searching for Griffin's 2000 four-door dark green Honda Passport with plates FES5932.
